Jon Moak Memorial Contest in Malibu / July 26th 2008

Clyde Singleton , Justin Eldridge (Chocolate Pro) and Berky (Spyder Surfshop's Skate Manager) showed up to support the event. It was a great day indeed. Alot of skating and a lot of sun. The park is in the valley below the Santa Monica mountain range. Pre-Fab park but still really fun.
We wil post a legit video piece in a few days but here are just a few photos.

x-games 14 / more photos of super park practice

wow. the super park was a good idea!! whoever thought of it. Good idea. The vert ramp was dominated by the same dudes. Andy Mac, Shaun White, Bucky etc. Now, i guy like Chad Bartie or Al Partanen could show up and win this thing. (I don't think Al was included in this year's X-Games). But yeah the super park is siiiickk! Here are some photos I shot on Tuesday. I shot the photos with my Video Camera so that is why they look a bit blurry. But, I hope these photos reveal just how amazing this year's Super Park contest might be.

Jon Moak Memorial Contest in Malibu / July 26th 2008

Jon Moak was a friend of ours. If you are in the LA area the weekend of July 26th please come out and join us.

Below is all the info:

On July 26th Margaret Herron is throwing a SkateBoard Contest In Memory of her son Jon Moak.
Jon was skating at skatepark in Arizona and hit his head hard enough to shatter his skull and eventually kill him. He wasn't wearing a helmet. Since Jon's accident Margaret has joined forces with The Ian Tilman Foundation, as both Ian and Jon were victims to similar head injuries while not wearing a helmet. Since 2006 The Ian Tilman Foundation has passed out over 1300 free helmets to kids who promise to wear them. This foundation's members are flying out here from Florida for Jon's Memorial to help spread the word of helmet awareness to the west coast kids.

Please come out and enjoy a day of skateboarding at Papa Jack's SkatePark on July 26th.

Big thanks to everyone who is contributing and supporting this event: Freedom Artists, Val Surf, Clout, Girl, Chocolate, 4star, Matix, DVS, Lakai, Sicky Dicky, The City Of Malibu, and S-One Helmets.
