A few years ago Aidan Dansey made the switch the S1 Lifer Helmet. A lot of Pro vert guys were getting knocked out or worse (long term head aches, memory and balance problems, lose of taste or smell, mood swings) after taking heavy slams while wearing regular skate helmets. Fast forward to Go Skateboarding Day June 21st 2014.
Vert Jungle up in Pismo Beach. Aidan took a heavy slam on 540 attempt. This kind of head impact is the kind that was knocking guys out for a few minutes or maybe even a trip the ER and then dealing with head issues (memory loss, loss of balance, mood swings etc). Aidan was wearing the S1 Lifer Helmet and he didn't even get a concussion. Stoked!
