S1 Lifer Helmet much more protective than traditional soft foam skate helmets

Message form S1 Helmet Co. - The brain does not like G Forces. Anything over 300 G's will likely cause a severe concussion and or possible TBI (traumatic brain injury) or death.
We took an S1 Lifer Helmet and a soft foam helmet from every major helmet brand (including an S1) and put them to the high impact test.

The high impact test is a drop height from 6.5 feet.

All the traditional soft foam helmets from every brand failed the test and allowed more than 300 G's into the brain. In fact - all of them allowed 800+ G's into the head.

The S1 Lifer Helmet only allowed 186 G's into the head form.

Why are we sharing this info?
Because we think this is important for people to know. We would want to know if we were buying a helmet for our ourselves or a loved one. We share this information with our riders also. We would much rather see a team rider wearing an S1 Lifer Helmet than a soft foam skate helmet. And soft foam skate helmets fail the multiple impact test also - see video below
“Well, I have a couple of friends who have had major head injuries while skating, and they have suffered irreversible brain damage. They are not the same mentally anymore. I’m 49 now, and I insist on the best protection I can get for my noggin, so I wised up and switched from a soft-foam helmet to the S1 Lifer helmet.” - Lester Kasai
