“Back around 1986 or so Neil Blender would cut the sleeves off his old shirts and wear them on his head under his
helmet. This was the birth of the head gasket. I decided to take it a step further and cut up a shirt and
wrapped it around my helmet padding. I couldn’t sew so I just used duct tape. I actually did that for years.”
